About Falcata
Falcata is a software studio in Riihimäki, Finland. We build hybrid solutions and platforms for traditional and agentic use — software that serves people directly and the AI agents working on their behalf through the same foundations.
Founded in 2001 to provide custom software, Falcata today puts most of its work into product development on Furnace, the platform behind every Falcata product. Custom development continues alongside it, billed by time and scoped one outcome at a time.
We work globally and operate fully remotely, in English and Finnish.
The name
A falcata is a sword from pre-Roman Iberia: effective, with a curved, harmonic line. Swords are long obsolete for their original purpose, and that is part of the point — we value knowing our history as something that shapes what we build now and next.
